Sep 07, 2009 by Confero Inc.

We believe our team of schedulers is one of the best in the business. They work hard every day to find shoppers to fill each shop in order to make sure our projects are completed on time or ahead of schedule! They spend their days sorting through hundreds of emails and calling dozens of shoppers in order to make that happen. The following tips came straight from our scheduling team, see what you can do to become one of their star shoppers!

Tip #1: “My tip for shoppers would be when you sign up to request a shop make sure to check your emails DAILY. When shoppers sign up for a shop and we assign the shop to them an automatic shop assignment confirmation email is sent. FAQ Weekly Feature: What is “Validation”?

Sep 09, 2009 by Confero Inc.

Each week, we will feature one of our frequently asked questions and explain in detail.

All good research must be validated. Validation is a form of documentation that shows us that a mystery shopper was at the assigned place, at the assigned time and ordered the assigned items. Remember, mystery shopping is research, so client requirements are put into place to assure the reports from all shoppers can be accurately compared on a national basis. Sometimes, this means each shopper must make the same purchase so we can measure consistency of service around the country. Sometimes, this means that shoppers must visit locations within the same time period or dates, so that service during specific dayparts may be researched. Our schedulers must make sure all locations are included and accounted for during the project. Shoppers choose

FAQ: How are shop assignments made?

Sep 30, 2009 by Confero Inc.

Our team of schedulers uses a sophisticated information system and mapping software to identify Confero shoppers who live or work near an available assignment location. If your name is identified by this search, we will send you a shop posting via email to determine whether an assignment at a specific business location interests you. The shop posting will contain detailed information about how long the assignment will take to complete, when we need you to visit the specific location, and the compensation we offer for the assignment. The shop posting may also list specific instructions for applying for the shop. The posting may ask you to confirm certain information when you apply. Make sure you read the posting closely to make sure you understand the requirements. Once you have read the shop posting, you may access the job board and apply for shops after logging in.

Our scheduling team begins assigning shoppers about 24 to 48 hours after the shop posting was sent out to potential shoppers. Our schedulers look at each shop location to determine the shopper that is the best match for the assignment. There are a variety of factors that go into determining which shopper receives the assignment. Some of these factors include:

  • Type of shop- some shoppers may have more experience with a particular type of shop than other shoppers
  • Dependability- the scheduler is always trying to meet a deadline and needs to know that the shopper assigned will complete the shop as scheduled.
  • Shop rating- it is no secret that shoppers with all 9s and 10s are hard to overlook on the job board. Make sure you are proofreading your reports before you submit them on Confero Compass.
