Confero Warns About New Mystery Shopper Scam Using the Name Kevin Bailey

We received infromation today that someone using the name Kevin Bailey, posing as a representive of Confero, is asking people to wire money through Western Union. Please do not mistake the person calling himself Kevin Bailey as a Confero representative. He is not. Please do not fall for his scam.

On-the-Spot Rewards Shops are Rewarding

Confero, Inc. would like to send a big thank you out to all of the mystery shoppers who helped us complete thousands of on-the-spot rewards shops this summer!  Mystery shoppers conducted these shops at amusement parks, movie theaters, casual dining restaurants, fast-food restaurants, and airports.

Mystery Shopping, Hurricane Irene and other Inclement Weather

Thanks to Hurricane Irene, everyone is probably aware that hurricane season is upon us.  This time of year the weather can be unpredictable.  In the world of mystery shopping everything runs on a tight schedule full of deadlines.  Our schedulers keep a close eye on the weather forecasts for various parts of the country, depending on where they have shops scheduled. 

All of us at Confero wanted to say a big "thank you!" to all of the mystery shoppers who helped us get last minute shops in after Hurricane Irene hit.  Many shoppers were unable to conduct their assigned mystery shops and other mystery shoppers stepped in and helped out!

Be Aware of a New Email Scam!

Confero, Inc. was recently notified about a new email scam.  The scammers have used Confero’s reputable name and the name of our company president, Elaine Buxton.  The scammers created an email address .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and have contacted consumers and offered them mystery shops paying up to $120 a piece.  This is a scam!  Elaine Buxton’s email address is not .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).  Confero staff members will only ever contact mystery shoppers via their conferoinc.com email addresses.  Also, Confero NEVER sends certified checks to mystery shoppers and Confero NEVER asks shoppers to wire transfer money.

Changes to Confero’s Payment Policy

As of September 2011, Confero will be restructuring our payment policy.  We are changing our payment timing to help alleviate some of the confusion around when mystery shops will be paid. We found that our once per month pay cycle was limiting and we have worked to make payment terms equally advantageous for shoppers who conduct shoppers early in the month and those who shop later in the month.
