Extensions and Cancellations

Most mystery shoppers lead busy lives, hold down full time jobs and conduct shops on an ad hoc basis. We get that. 

Here's a quick guide to understanding how we approach requests for extensions and cancellations.

Deadline Extensions

We understand that sometimes situations arise and shoppers need to reschedule a shop date. We will do our best to accommodate a date extension as we, at the same time, juggle client requirements and deadlines. Many mystery shopping programs require multiple shop visits during the shopping period by different shoppers with a certain number of days in between. Changing one shopper's shop date may impact the shopping dates of several other shoppers, so sometimes changes cannot be made. With our client's satisfaction in mind, we typically limit the requests for extensions to one per shopper per project. 

If you wish to request a date change or extension of time, notify the project coordinator/scheduler for the program as soon as possible so we may consider the request. To contact the scheduler:

  1. Log into your Confero Compass account
  2. Click on Shop Log
  3. Locate the shop in the log
  4. Click on the Help/Contact link to left of the shop listing.
  5. Write and send an email message to the Project Coordinator/Scheduler. 

Cancellations

Similarly, sometimes a shopper has requested a mystery shopping assignment and then cannot follow through to complete it. We get it: kids get sick, cars break down, elderly parents need care, you are asked to work late at your job, etc. If you are unable to complete your assignment, notify the Project Coordinator/Scheduler  for the program as soon as possible so we may assist. Please be sure to state whether you are cancelling entirely or whether you could complete the shop if we could arrange for an extension of time. To contact the scheduler:

  1. Log into your Confero Compass account

  3. Locate the shop in the log

  5. Write and send an email message to the Project Coordinator/Scheduler. 

Please note that extension and cancellation requests are noted in our system. Frequent requests for extensions and cancellations may impact shopper ratings or qualifications over time.
