Elaine Buxton of Confero Elected Vice Chair of Better Business Bureau of Eastern North Carolina

Elaine Buxton, president and CEO, will serve as vice chair of Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Eastern North Carolina’s board of directors.

A member of the BBB’s board of directors since 2010, Elaine steers efforts with other regional business leaders to support BBB’s mission of setting high standards for ethical business practices and offering resources for community members to find and recommend organizations that they can trust. Businesses that meet the high standards may earn BBB Accreditation.  Confero has been accredited with BBB for fourteen years, and  Elaine is excited to continue her contributions to an organization which helped fuel  Confero’ growth.

The Better Business Bureau serving Eastern North Carolina is a 501©(6) not-for-profit corporation serving 33 counties in Eastern North Carolina. The organization is funded primarily by membership dues from more than 2,900 local businesses and professional firms. The BBB promotes integrity, consumer confidence and business ethics through business self-regulation in the local marketplace. Services provided by the BBB include, reports on companies and charitable organizations, general monitoring of advertising in the marketplace, dispute resolution services, and consumer/business education programs.
