Confero Receives National Certification from WBENC

Elaine Buxton, president, has announced renewal of the company’s national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council – Southeast, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council(WBENC).

WBENC’s national certification is a two part process which includes a site visit with the female owner, conducted by one of WBENC's 14 Regional Partner Organizations.  An in depth review of the company’s documentation is the second part of the process.  The certification process confirms that the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.

Recognized by more than 1,000 US corporations, the certification affords women owned businesses such as Confero the opportunity to compete for various business opportunities. By including women-owned businesses among their vendors, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity within their supplier programs.
