Confero is pleased to announce that it supplied mystery shopping information for the 2019 Smiling Report. The Smiling Report compiles data from mystery shopping evaluations conducted in over 56 countries worldwide. Over 1 million shops contributed to this report which was based on visit mystery shops completed during 2018. The data reports on three areas: whether the mystery shopper received a smile and a greeting and if an add-on sales suggestion was made during his/her visit.
For the U.S. mystery shopping evaluations reported for this study, the shopper received a smile during 93% of the shops. A greeting was received 93% of the time, and an add-on sales suggestion was noted during 78% of the shops. U.S. averages were higher than the worldwide averages of 83%, 86% and 57% respectively.
Media and professional mystery shopping providers worldwide who participate in the Smiling Report may use the data for benchmarking and communications, provided that they refer to the source.
